Almost 3 years ago we launched our second collection “A Song On the Road”, A postcard from San Miguel de Allende. Our inspiration was a road trip to San Miguel de Allende dated in New Year’s Eve. We traveled to iconic places such as Fábrica La Aurora where artists from different disciplines convey together. We went to El Charco del Ingenio Botanical Gardens, we watched the blooming lavenders and cactus along the way. The architecture is exquisite, like the Catedral and conceptual fashion stores.
Delightful view on rooftops while you have a beverage. Watching the lights at night down town while you take a walk.. A trip that inspired me in so many different ways. It represents the beginning and end of a cycle.
I also experimented with different materials, chartpak, watercolors and pencil. I chose the lavenders and cactus to represent this collection. The trip inspiration contained a kind of nostalgia, having peace and quiet while I woke up early had a cup of coffee in a roof top and mourn during that time.
